Samantha Bateman - Director, Talent Acquisition & Training
Samantha often jokes that it wasn’t until she became involved in recruitment that she really found her calling. Terrible at most of her previous roles in food and service, project management, administrative support and even a stint in the military, she discovered a passion in matching talent to opportunities! Interestingly, it was her ability to connect with a wide variety of people throughout her life, that paved the way for a career in talent acquisition. Having started Integria specializing in the placement of HR professionals, she quickly expanded into Sales & Marketing and then Operations roles. Don’t ask her to place anything technical - accounting and finance and IT roles are not her space at all but she might know someone who can help you with those positions! A “fixer” by nature, honest to the point of putting her foot in her mouth a few times over the course of her career, she has developed an extensive network of HR professionals which she has been known to leverage time and again for candidates she wants to support. Samantha has a degree from McGill University and has worked in HR arena since 1998.

Specialization: HR Administration & Operations
In 2005, after having spent a few short years in the agency world, I knew the market needed a different recruitment option.
Believing that quality will always trump quantity, my goal has been to deliver talented candidates to the doorsteps of solid and exciting organizations. Integria has been built on the values of integrity, honesty and transparency and it’s at the core of everything we do. Believing that candidates really need and value support in leveraging contacts, we are always available to provide assistance and to make connections for those we have worked with. I’ve been so fortunate to work with some of the planet’s most recognizable organizations but we’ve also worked with some incredible SMEs who just needed that rare gem to get the business moving in the right direction.
Often times in coaching candidates or speaking at functions, I’ll liken the interview process to the dating process. Candidates go into the “date” sometimes nervous but hopefully we’ve armed them with enough information about their date that they can have an interesting conversation and demonstrate their strengths. But like any great date, it’s vital that our candidates recognize if there is a fit or not and have the ability to ask the right questions to determine if they want to move to marriage. The hope is always that we can support both parties throughout the process, to uncover each other’s strengths and limitations. We do not look at candidates as a pay check. We want to support the talent that has chosen to work with us and will be honest if we feel the opportunity will not benefit their career trajectory.
Our clients have also experienced our level of honesty and commitment and know that we are not afraid to share any concerns we might have throughout the process. It is less important to us that we cash a cheque and much more important that everyone feels great about the new hire and opportunity that comes with them.
We hope that, in whatever capacity you work with us - searching for talent or a new opportunity, you will walk away from the Integria experience feeling that you were well-served, that your needs and goals were understood and that you were taken care of!
